Bit of a long story, but here goes.
I have one of these One for All remote control extender jobs so that I can control the VCR/SKY in another room. I noticed last night that the transmitter, which is close to the PC, was blinking away like mad every 5 seconds or so, after a bit of thought I found that it was the IR port (USB unit) on my PC that was causing this (looking for an IR device near it).
So I got to thinking, does anyone know of a piece of software that I can install on the PC and set up to control my VCR/SAT using the PC's IR port ??. I had a quick look at Remote Central and CNET but did not see anything obvious.
