Laptop hard drive.

My mates laptop hard drive has just failed.

Its an HP Pavilion ZE5600.

The drive is an IDE. Can he fit a Sata drive? Whats the actually different apart from Sata drives seem to be cheaper!

I doubt it, as laptops dont have dual controllers. So you can only put in the same IDE drive.

sata drives have a different connector and power supply.
