Wassup with everone moaning about CS? Ideal situation

1. Everyone stop calling people cheats
2. If you get shot then **** happens don't moan
3. Everyone has the bloodymaps
4. People stop thinking they are the greatest computer games player in the world
5. Team work
6. Stop playing it like it is quake
7. Noob campers try not to camp so they learn how to take people out in a non camping situation
8. Have even teams, ie, not Steve, neanderthal, HHxx, crack, Roadrunner, etc all on the same team.
9. Enjoy the game, if you are getting seriously wound up then you have some kind of mental problem and should see a doctor, it is a computer game after all
10. EVERYONE STOP BLOODY MOANING AND JUST PLAY THE DAMN GAME FOR CHRIST SAKE
11. Mental note to self, do more of point 10

IMHO camping is part of the game. There are a few exceptions:

1. Ts on a bombing mission. No camping at/near there spawn. Your are ment to be bombing!
2. Hostage rescue mission. CT rescue the hostages and dont set up camp for the night.
3. Puff

 

I think he means not camping on every singles map no matter what the game type is! And those who have a reputation for being campers to try some other methods of combat so that they improve overall as a player making it more enjoyable for themseleves as well as others!

What normally seems to happen is that everyone goes off in one direction, gets killed, leaving me who's plodded off on my own (knowing former about to happen) on my own F all point running around trying to be Rambo (which I'm not) when a bit of creeping about quite often brings results. Unfortunately, my *military* training doesn't include the statement "rush around blindly"

I do think that team-work would help & it might be noticed that sometimes I "camp" the back-door watching out for sneaky attacks

How many times have I turned up in unexpected corners too? Keeps some of you better players on your toes - eh?

On another matter, how can I change the colour of my cross-hairs? Half the time I can't see them

Put this in your Config.cfg file

bind "s" "adjust_crosshair" does not have to "s" of course any spare unused key. Then when you press it you can rotate through the 5 or so colours.

does not effect the Zoom crosshair unfortunately.

I agree with all of newbies points.

There's no place for campers IMHO. When you got 10 people waiting for the next game and the last 2 remaining players are camping it out, its damn annoying.

It seems more people are concerned about stats than actually enjoying the game.

And everyone should use mic's more. And swear at each other.

yep i keep going on about people using voice - most have finally sorted it but more people need to talk - say where they going / who they seen etc

and not just listen !!!

Stats? Well I know where I am!

I agree the point of the game is to enjoy yourself but surely part of that enjoyment comes from winning, either for yourself or your team? The idea isn't to rush around madly like a bull in a china shop. It's the pitting of one team against another & outwitting then outshooting them (in that order) IMHO. When you're a T & you rush to the bomb-site & plant the bomb when the CT are looking elsewhere, well thats good. If you then survive the defence of the site & the bomb goes off & you're not killed - even better. There's definately tactics & skill other than outright reactions that should be employed on this game.

It may be frustrating sometimes when you've got 2 peeps creeping about but the underdog may just win against the team who are at the top of the pile, releasing extra funds to the team-mates who can buy better guns, which turns the tables. Don't scoff, I've seen it happen.

I just think that rushing around blindly fragfesting is not the point of the game either & for me is particularly tedious

And the last time I looked at the stats was when Dam posted that link to the sucky clan with 8 deaths and no kills or whatever.

The stats are useful in so far as they encompass the "skill" elements to the game as opposed to just frag league tables.

i have voice comms!, steve has isdn (all u need to do now is change isp - deano gets great pings with freeserve 24/7 12.99 deal).

bazza is right about team play, when the grumpy northener started bellowing commands on de_dawn (we were CT), after we were losing abismally, we actually made some progress. if the whole team were to play as a unit - as the T's seemed to be doing - we would have done much better.

as for whinging - that's half the fun!

did anyone see 1 of my **** ups on arab streets - as CT - lobbed flash through the glass window - climbed ladder - spotted what i thought was a T's rifle and emptied an entire colt clip into the light switch!!!!
