I use:

The Official ImgBurn Website

and

DVD Shrink: Shrink your DVDs to fit DVDR!

What happens? Have you tried running it as Administrator?

Regardless, try right clicking the shortcut/exe and choosing 'Run As Administrator' Also try running it in XP Compatibility Mode, although I don't need to do either to run it in Vista Premium for some reason.

ImgBurn was spawned from DVDDecryptyer when it ceased development It uses the same burn engine as the final version, but is still being developed.

farmerwrx - Sorry, can't help there then. I'd suggest AnyDVD otherwise, but its not free.

Oh really? I didn't know that, that's excellent new. I have about 75 backups of DVD Decrypter incase my machine goes bang, because its absolutely impossible to get hold of

In Vista Ultimate, I use same as above, and when Shrink or DVDDecryptor can't rip a dvd, I use Ripitforme, which also uses dvddecryptor and Shrink but uses some clever scripting as well, to get around any type of protection. It has never failed me yet. Then Nero 7.9 to burn.
