Does your printer have a display window on the actual unit? If it does, what does this say? What about any error lights on the printer itself?
Basically, what I am trying to find out is: does the printer unit itself think its jammed, or is it just some stupid driver having a little fit that mistakenly thinks its jammed.
If its the printer itself, its time to get out the screw driver until you can clear the error. If its the driver, try reinstalling the printer software.

what printer is it???
if its a 2300, 2200 or 2100 i do know they suffer from sensor issues and involves undoing quite a few screws.
if the printer is 3yrs or older, get a new one mate, saves fecking about.
a good HP laser can be had for £120 including toner cart, these days.
