Divx -> Ipod Touch help

Hello

Can anyone recommend a (free) program to convert DivX files to play on the Ipod touch?

Steve, have a look at handbrake as it may be able to do what you want.

Thank you. Unfortunately that seems to take DVD (or MPEG) rather than .AVI (DivX / Xvid).

Try using an AVI to MPEG converter then use the said program above

Steve,
Ok, if handbrake won't do it, then try Quicktime Pro. I've tried converting a file to dvix format in QT Pro, as I didn't have any other dvix files. QT would happily open that file and allow me to use the Export option to export it as "Movie to iPod" which should do exactly what you want

For completeness, I use this now: Videora iPod touch Converter - Free iPod touch Video Converter

The Ipod Touch is still very cool and I haven't tired of rotating an internet page yet
