thanks to everyone for the tips on PC/CS yesterday- good game in the evening helped by various players walking into the barrel of my awp as i came round corners

also got called a cheat by steve which would normaly be something to be pround of (as a non-cheat) but as its steve i spose its nothing new

I was doing OK till Bog came online and all my skill & luck seemed to disappear

Managed to get an early night though cause around the 11pm map change we had a power cut and I was plunged into complete darkness for an hour.

steve says " comeon you guys start playing" as him and the t's are killing us so i leg it from spawn site to bomb site and hide- when the t's come trotting in to bomb site thinking they've got there first i pick them all of in the back (made easier by them standing nice and still wondering where i am)

now you'd think steve would say "thanks for starting to make a game of it as i requested" but no its "CHEAT"!!!

Steve, bind "say nfw, wtf & cheat" to your left mouse button, it'll save you time

Oh and set youtr cl_forwardspeed in your config to cl_forwardspeed "1000" then you might be able to out sprint him

as i ran into the bomb site i saw steve enter it from his side but i couldnt look at him to long cause the strobe effect of his laggy, jerky liitle terrorist was giving me a headache

so i just hid and waited till he stopped jerking and i could get a clean shoot

Can anybody explain to me why all of a suddend I'm having major problems on STi locked ?

During the first round after I connect I can type one mesasge but then thats it, or, I can buy a pistol for the first round and then thats it.

The second round comes and anytrhing I type, team or all, doesnt come up on the screen, I cant buy anything so I'm stuck with my pistol and whatever ammo I have left from the last round. I can pick up other people guns and use them but I cant even switch to knife

Anybody help please, this has happened for the last two days (along with a ping which looks fine, around 60, but mega lag as anybody who watches me moonwalk away will testify).

Gutted, STi locked is the only place I like to play these days and I cant any more

Please help guys, I've got a completely standard CS installation apart from my key setup. Oh and I've got a cfg file in my cstrike directory that binds primary attack to mousewheel up and down (great for firing dual elites ) but I've only used that on a lan game to try it out, never on an internet game.

I'm presuming it's not the new scanning sftware that Mike has put on as it worked fine the first night but never since. I get all the 'couldn't execute xxxxxxx' messages in the console but none that say anything that looks odd.

Oh and I'm running CS retail.

Oops another one, I've got the naked hossies. I'm pretty sure thats it. No weapon or model skins, no other binds or aliases, no cheats, no other configs, havent even changed any of the cl_xxx options.

p.s Sorry if anyone thought I was being ignorant and not answering you last night, I couldnt, changed my name to "Cant type again" so you got the idea but people still kept asking "Whats the hell is wrong with your connection Norm"

It's very frustrating to meet a fully equipped CT when you've got no armour and a Pistol with only 5 bullets left.

Yep Steve, believe it or not I am working. Rebuilt a server already. Looking into the web server now.

Hopefully I'll be building a server for the lan party. Just got to work out how to sneak it out
