In light of the recent MS price cuts, Sony announces tv add on to the PS3..
Sony hits back in console wars - tech & gadgets
whether this will work remains to be seen, but like any of these press releases, they always forget to mention that other providers, will want a slice of the action... (wifi aint free)

As a side issue anyone fancy a PS3 + Motorstorm going cheap in the London area? Don't want to take it when I leave these shores

Will the tv shows come with Sony's rootkit installed
I suspect by 2008 most people will have a tv with built in freeview, or a freeview box, or sky/cable so why is this such an innovation. Too little to late as usual

It makes the PS3 into a PVR for the cost of freeview add on (what £30?)

Of course it's only of any use if you can actually get a freeview signal. We can't, hence why we've got a sky+ box. With the number of other devices offering this sort of functionality increasing by the day, (dvd recorders, bt fusion etc) it doesn't seem that exciting to me. A nice to have if you already have the console though...
