I am trying to learn to program PICs and since I have a reasonable experience with basic, some with assembler and very little with C I thought a compiler would be good. I would prefer this to a BASIC stamp (interpreted) because of performance.
I already have a programmer and was going to start with 16F84 and 16F877 and similar.
Any recommendations on a compiler? I have found this one and it looks good and is only £49. I have tried the download demo and it seems pretty good. Any experiences? http://www.letbasic.com/pro_vs_plus.htm
