Default PS3, HDMI and Technosonic TV issues

Gutted, bought the PS3 the other day thinking we'd get HD quality on our Technosonic 32" LCD but nope. Apparantely the two arent compatible :-/

Anyone else having issues with PS3 and HDMI compatability?

Which gives us absolutely no benefit on a screen smaller than 46" when you sit closer than about a mile away!

Don't you just love the way us consumers get taken down the back alley!
