Default Best PC Firewall/security

Having spent hours reinstalling Norton and getting my PC back to where it was I still cannot get it working. I have no idea what has changed as I have configured it several times before with no problem. I have managed to get it working on my own login but the other users still do not have full internet access.

So the question is what is the best/most efficient firewall/antivirus tool to use? Everyone hates Norton so what do we use instead?

TIA

Rannoch

Kaspersky Internet Security

I got it off of Amazon for a very decent saving.

Sorry to be a thickie - would I need both to replace Norton - one for firewall and one for antivirus etc?

And are they easier to configure than Norton?

Cheers,

Rannoch

I use Kerio Personal Firewall and AVG Anti-virus. Both free and work fine for me and never get in the way.

Internet security suites typically offer Firewall, Antivirus and spyware in one package. Like the one Daz recommened which would give far better results than norton.

3 Main parts of PC security (windows updates as well etc)

Firewall
Antivirus
Spyware tools

Internet security suites typically do all 3, but you can also get seperate packages that focus on one. For Ease of use an Internet security suite may be your thing

PC Pro mag list the latest version of ZoneAlarm Security Suite as their A Rated product. The latest version even uses Kaspersky's AV engine.
