Your top 5 games...

heres mine
Command and Conquer Generals - PC (should be re-classed as a drug)
Half Life - PC
Halo - 360
Duke Nukem - PC (obviously dated now, but lost many many hours on this in single player and multiplayer)
Syndicate - PC (1985 ish)
Other games I've wasted small parts of my life playing - Way of the Exploding Fist (C64), Elite (speccy) and C&C Red Alert multiplayer
Anyone else...

The entire Novalogic Delta Force series on the PC, the only games I have ever sat down and completed. Spent far too many nights playing multiplayer team death matches/sniper death matches and going to work on only 3 hours sleep
Others would include Championship Manager, Gran Turismo 1, 2 and 3 (got 4 but never played it as much as the first 3) Pro Evo Soccer and its previous incarnations of ISS back to the PS1 versions.

The rainy days on half term and summer hols used to be taken up with this, and some games did take days to complete.....and we even had to make up new denominations of money (million pound notes)

Zelda, Link to the past - Snes
Zelda, Links awakening - GB
Sega Rally - Saturn

Current online fav is Lost Planet - 360

Good thread! Although it brings home the amount of time I've spent playing computer games in my life - right from my first brown C64.
1. Champ. manager - I've played pretty much every incarnation of this and have now clocked up over 120hrs on FM2007 on the 360!
2. CoD2 PC - Played this for a solid year. 56-player online multiplayer was nothing short of awesome!
3. Oblivion - Played it on both PC and 360. Great game.
4. Halo Xbox
5. San Andreas PS2
Loads of older games too - Speedball 2, Alien Breed, Monkey Island, Boulder-dash etc. etc.
'Er indoors: (comes home from work) Why are you still in your pants? Have you had a shower yet?
Me: (looks sheepish) Is that the time?

Final Fantasy VII and IX
Tomb Raider II
Onimusha
GT4 (it has the Nurburgring you know!)
Currently playing Final Fantasy XII which is enormous - I even found a completely new area that wasn't even in the walkthrough - I have barely started and have already played for hours...

Red Alert -
Various guises from the original, which was dos based and used to play this over the net using dial up! This was my first experience with online gaming and to this date it is still the best. Sometimes its a shame when technology moves on. PC
Counterstrike -
From the first gen to source, best fps on the market. PC
Harrier Attack -
First game I every played, loved it. Amstrad cpc464
WoW -
Much simpler version of EQ, got bored after 3 months. PC
Everquest -
this ******* game cost me a lot of social beer time. PC

In no particular order of greatness
Defender - pure class even now, in top five for opening sound at start of game if nothing else
Uridium - Pure C64 genius (jeff minter I think?? Correct me if I am wrong Zapp 64 fans. Anybody remember Julian Rignall et all, mis-spent youth, etc)
Manic Miner - Spectrum simplicity, great sound track, addictive
Mortal Kombat (Arcade) - Ground breaking technology at the time, great finishing moves
Gears of War - Modern classic, shows 360 to full potential.
