Quick home broadband networking queston
ok i have got a pc which is connected to the internet through a netgear adsl broadband router.
i also have a G3 imac running osx for which i am going to run a cat 5 network cable to give the mac net access. i have plugged the pc into the router using usb connection and it has unlocked the password for the isp.
for my mac will i purely have to simply plug it into the mac and the router and will it just work without actually changing any settings or installing any drivers?

Possibly to probably.
Assuming the Mac has its network card drivers installed and working then fine, no more drivers needed.
As for settings, if both computers have been left alone, and both are running default settings then it should work.
Should not be too hard to sort out if it does not. If it plays awkward at the first attempt, try a reboot as the necessary settings are detected at bootup (among other times).
