Default TDU Scoobynet User Challenges

All,

Spent a few hours last night getting slightly more engrossed than i had originally planned making user-created challenges.

I have uploaded the first one, if you go to a diner and look for 'Gone in 60 Seconds' it is a very straightforward little challenge I put together driving a Caterham CSR. Not tried it in any other cars yet.

The challenge is in the name

It will be available for another 36 hours.

After that I will be uploading two much more substantial challenges for three days each, one of which can only be attempted in a McLaren F1, so if you haven't already got one, get one! (You will probably need the GTR

The other one is Caterham only, and I imagine it will need to be tuned.

Anyone else have any they would like to share? It's actually quite good fun putting these together, although that is just probably me reminiscing my old level / map editor design days

BTTT tonight is your last chance for the first challenge 'Gone in 60 seconds'.

Tonight I will be uploading the much bigger CSR Challenge, a hillclimb for Caterhams only.

Then for the weekend, GTRollercoaster, the ultimate challenge for your McLaren F1.

Cool, the one tonight is just a bit of fun, the real challenge should be the GTR McLaren one on Fri, Sat and Sun

I'll put a healthy purse up for it too.

Might have to do a Millionaires race to get the cash for the GTR!

That's what I did.

I am a Ferrari fanatic but I bought it over the Enzo as it's IMHO the best car in the game. So well balanced, you can drift it at 150mph, and sounds great especially when it digs deep for the last couple thousand rpms

BTW can you go to the clubhouse and accept my application? I need the achievement points more than anything

So is this game really good because I feel like I'm missing out. Are the controls as bad as people made out?

Opps, yes mate, I'll accept ya tonight
We need to sort out some inter-club races for those points as well

I love the Enzo but that and the MC12 have a horrible whiney engine note at full bore.

It's one of the few games I've bought over the last few years that I've enjoyed enough to finish

I personally thought the car controls were quite good, especially when you turn the driving aids off. The bike handling takes a little getting used to though, (would have been better with motogp style controls imo).

I think the handling is great. A lot of the bad comments came from the demo, which Eden really didn't want to release as they knew it still needed work and they have delivered with the final version. There was talk of a patch to include a harder difficulty which would refine the handling to sim levels, but not heard if it's still happening.

FYI we did the clothes store integrations (Ben Sherman etc.) and will be doing all the dynamic billboards in the PC versions coming soon.

Am I being thick? I've gone to a number of diners but can't find the challenge.
Sorted it in alphabetical order but the only thing starting with 'G' is "G Car Diamond Head Lp" ??

Oh...do you have to go to the specific diner maybe? If so its the one by the golf club right to the east of your first apartment.

All the diners seem to have the same list of events, and I can't see any beginning with "G"

I gave up looking for it. Concentrated on getting enough money for the GTR.
Which I now have
Although it's still at standard tune (£300k for a stage3 tune up )

Whilst looking for that challenge in the diner though, I spotted one called "Beat this W@@@" and someone has got a GTR up to 281mph?!!?!

Oh and can someone enlighten me as to how to set the stake money for instant challenges?

How odd? I looked last night and it said my challenge was still active? I couldn't find it myself either.

Very odd. I will try uploading the GTR one tonight, and try uploading the gone in 60 seconds one to the club.

I spent the evening playing Tiger Woods last night. Great game.

Just had a delivery from EA with all the 07 titles...NBA, Madden, NHL etc

BTW Has anyone seen Messiahs achievements score

Are there enough games on the market to get that many achievements?!?!?!

Been playing that one myself. It's very good, although it can be frustrating (I seem to have trouble with slicing shots)...

Actually I noticed you playing it on my friends list last night, fancy a game sometime?

It's annoying you cannot reconfigure the controls, I much prefer using the right stick, in all previous versions it was on the right stick I cannot understand why they will not allow you to reconfigure?! The only time I seemed to really badly slice is when I am trying to put some draw or fade on to the ball and then it just goes pear shaped.

However I am pretty sure that is because my stats are so low as it worked in the training mode.

Could do Ed, although I might have to practise a bit more first (I'm not very good at it).

Need to get some money for a GTR now. Got nearly every other car in TDU except that one

Right another challenge uploaded - 'CSR Challenge'

Limited to Caterhams, and a much more substantial challenge on one of the best pieces of road.

I'm now a member of the club, but how does it work? I cannot find anything about it in any of my maps or options? Do you have to meet at a specific club location?

Had a blast in the mcl F1 earlier vs some French guys in Enzos.

Silver plate with my **** handed to me.

Could hear them laughing as they watched me ...... hmmmm. Practice much needed in that beast.
May buy the GTR as well. (got a few bob in piggy bank, due to cash cow race.east of island, point to point, class b,£75k).
Need some online races to get the final achievements.
