after setting up the voyager 205 router i now have my NAT setting as "open"
which is good, but trying to connect to a gears of war game, never works
i started playing the game with a simple non live gamertag saved on my memory stick, i belive i have just finished act 1
my "live" account has never played this game, is this why i`m being kicked from the online games ie: i will have to restart the game with my "live profile" and get past act 1 to play act 1 games online ?
managed to get the lost planet online demo working before, so i know its kinda working.
is there no way to combine the 2 gamertags? i cant be arsed to restart call of duty 2 either

its a bit of a boring story but.......
i had an offline profile which i used with the memory card when i first bought the machine, played call of duty 2 (3 or 4 levels, up to the part in the large pipes??) played gears of war and got to the second level and far cry a little bit, then i bought the HDD and went live, i couldn't get my offline user name (sticky-micky)
i tried s1cky-m1cky etc etc and got bored trying with the xbox controller
i settled for "a1 plus valet" this then got signed up for a free trial of xbox live gold. tried playing gears of war online and kept getting disconnected,
then i found out that you could try new user names via the xbox website, so i got "sticky owens" planning on ditching the a1 plus valet profile.
sorted the "nat" settings with the connection, and realised my gears of war connection was now good, but all my achievements were on the offline profile
ended up with 3 profiles and all achievements in the offline version
restarted GOW with the new "live" profile, then tried call of duty, to find i was still saved at my old offline profile save point, result
thought it was a bit strange that the achievements were not showing, but at least i didn't have to do the beginning levels again
finished the level where you start in the pipes, and then got sent to the fooken basic training again throwing potatoes at the beginning of the game
now i only have the one profile, i deleted the rest
anybody building achievements up offline, will get a shock when they finally go "live"
