I did and it died before I got all the way through the King Kong DVD

M$ did collect it and reckoned it would be 3 weeks before I got it back, that's this week so fingers crossed.

Still on the release day console so gawd knows how I killed the HD-DVD drive so quickly.

Got mine last Friday from PC World. For the price £129, its a bargain especially as you get a King Kong HDDVD and a media remote with it. Which means you get the drive for about £90.
If you've got a big screen or projector its a must for watching films. The discs don't cost THAT much more than normal DVD's if you get them from America.

I am thinking about getting one as it seems pretty good for £120 ,if it works that is. I have heard that it will also play hd discs from America does anyone know if this is true?

and playusa.com are doing discs.

Amazon traders are also doing good prices, mainly because they are US based but sell on the UK site (thumbs up for Caiman etc)

Just received Casino today but haven't had chance to watch it all. Showcase titles for the HD-DVD at the mo have to be King Kong for PQ (seeing as the UK disc has *NO* extras) and TFAF:Tokyo Drift for PQ, the extras and the silly GPS tracking graphic

Severely tempted - won the office bonus ball rollover at the weekend and have £70 burning a hole in my proverbial.

HD DVD or Vista? decisions, decisions...

The first batch at play.com and game had king kong and the remote free with it. Other retailers also had it with the free movie/remote although im 100% certain they have all been bought now barring ebay. All the new batch just come with the remote and no movie
