Well that didn't last long Still on the original launch day 360 but the HD-DVD drive has died within 1 month 360 simply doesn't see it and if I re-run the install disc it just prompts for me to attach the drive.

I've tried plugging it in to a PC to see if it sees a new USB device but that doesn't work either. The drive has power as I can eject the tray. Any ideas of anything else to try before I pack it up and send it back?

Of what? As I said the installation disk gets stuck asking me plug in the drive.
