Question

IBM T40 Com port

Has anyone got an IBM T40 laptop?

I need to connect one direct to an industrial embroidery machine and need to know wether or not there are any COM ports listed in device manager.

If so is the parallel port the COM port?

Can anyone help?

The T40 has no com ports built in. The parallel port is just a printer port.

If you need a serial port I would suggest a usb to serial converter. There is at least 1 com port on the docking station though.
