My missus, not usually one for gamin and electronics requested a Pink DS for Christmas with 'Nintendogs' and then asked 'what is the Nintendo Wii like then'

Just as I can't be arsed she gets into it, sat there in bed brain training on the kids DS's, thats three of the things we have now.

 

I was quite surprised to read the other day that DS's outsell PSPs and actually the humble old PS2 *still* outsells the Xbox360.

 

The DS is great though and for everyone: so children and (being sexist) wives want it as well. My wife loves playing Brain Training and some of the other games and she hasn't ever touched a console before.

So much so I'm going to have to buy another one as she steals it from our children!

Mine comes next Friday with Zelda ,Im sure you could get one sooner than Feb , infact if you go to Tesco/Asda early next friday bet you could pick one up instore , you really need one for crimbo

Try Woolworths. If you pay the money upfront, you're apparently assured on getting one on launch day. I pre-ordered mine 2 weeks ago under that promise. Its just the normal wiiplay pack though. Games can be pre-ordered for launch day as well.

 

The DS easily outsells PSP and everything else - same went for the GBA.

I don't play computer games cos I can't, infact the only game I own in C+C and I haven't played that in a decade!!! I have never bought a PS, Xbox etc!!!! Purely cos I can't play computer games and I don't see the point of them.

Now I look at teh Wii and Im tempted. All it would take now is for them to release something Like a Sci fi fantasty sword fighting game for it with Halo type graphics and I'll be sold!!!

 

What units are the sales figures in ?

 

Well I went into gamestation on fri and the got a date of 5th Jan with a *possibility* of before xmas. The guy was helpful and did say the only place you might get one now is toys r us who apparently you cant pre-order through, just have to turn up there at midnight on thursday to bag one.
