Default Sound problem with Dell Laptop

Just done a reformat of a Dell laptop.

Only trouble i have now is that i cannot get the volume to be very loud at all.

Its apparently on full looking at every volume option but yet playing a sound track its barley audiable!

Any ideas?

Cheers

Si

Have you installed the correct soundcard driver? Sounds like you're using the one Windows has found for the device. Also with the proper driver you should get the proper mixing software which should allow for switiching things on such as graphic equaliser, BASS & Trebble.

This should then get the sound up.

The other thing to try is to use the 'FN' key plus the speaker key to see if the volume hasn't been turned down by default.
