Anyone else think this game feels like a BF2 mod as opposed to a new game ? I've also noticed it suffers from exactly the same bugs that BF2 did when it first came out - key mapping problems, memory leak problems, crashing to desktop all the time, no support for 1280x1024 without fiddling with the szx & sxy in the shortcut. You'd have thought they'd have learned from past mistakes.
And what the hell is is with soldiers of the future - they can only sprint for 100 yards or so, have we become a race of fat asthmatics or something ?? The game hasn't been out long and needs patching already.
Will people be abandoning BF2 in favour of 2142 ?

Just been playing the demo, dosent seem much of a step forward to bf2.

Weapons are pretty rubbish, machine gun in 2142?. Was expecting more.

Will prob wait till the price drops to 15 quid ish on play b4 paying for full version.

 

After playing the free Bf2 Operation Peacekeeper mod last night it seems much more enjoyable than 2142. Oh and its free and spyware free as well

 

first 2 hours i thought the game was rubbish. however it does get better with perseverance. the unlocks help
