Hard Drive enquiry

I have just brought a brand new maxtor 300 GB hard drive once i have put it on it only says it is 136 GB instead of 300 GB.

Could anyone tell me why?

Go to maxtor.com and download maxblast 4, burn the ISO to CD, boot from CD and format to windows SP1 spec - (about 3 seconds), install windows XP without the need to partition or format.

Job done

Hi thanx for the help there is only one problem my dvd burner has stopped working is there anything else i can do?

mount the image using deamon tools..

Download the floppy based version

The daemon tools one won't help as its a dos based bootup CD

Can someone please give me the link which i need so then i can save it onto a floppy disk i cant find it.
