Default "Talk Talk" talkers?

Do any users have experience of the CarPhone Warehouse's Talk Talk product?

Their new plan (£21.99 /month for line rental, 8Mbit broadband & unlimited calls) seems like a pretty good deal (especially as calls to 28 international countries are also included), but I want to know how other people have got on with them?

I would hang on for a bit and let it bed down .. Bulldog LLU looked a great deal when it was announced - only when the customer services nightmares started coming out did it start to look a bit shabby

Yes good point steven with all these blinding offers typically the company gets a deluge of response that they struggle to deal with. And of course like bulldog putting all your eggs in the one basket can be abit risky.

We went with them for a while, adn had quite uncompetetive monthly bills.
So much so, that I approached Pipex (my ISP) and got thir £4.99 / month bolt-on.

Cheap phone calls ever since

According to the daily tabloids. Only 20% of BT exchanges in the country have Carphone warehouse kit in them. And if you don't live close enough to an exchange then you get charged an extra £9. All in all it will at least cost you £30 to get connected in the first place.

IMHO I would also wait and check out the news on adslguide.org for further info.

We've had them bugging us on the phone about this (Indian lady with an atrocious accent) she went ever so quiet when I mentioned TPS - I did explain that I was grateful they mentioned the product and company so soon in the conversation as I would be complaining about it.

I'd like to think it's just a troll. One assumes that a salesman would not be that stupid, all it takes is an email to The Register with the comments for them to have a nice little article on how Talk Talk doesn't give a **** about it's customers, thinks they are fools, and is happy to allow it's sales staff to publically say so, and insult existing and potential customers

Funny this has come back up - had one stick in a suit knock the door on Thursday. When I opend the door, he wouldn't even come in to the porch.

Granted, when the door knocked, my one dog barked (he's got a bark that makes my bollux shrink!!!)

SO, here I was holding the dog back with one arm (he's a 12month Black Lab - but a ****** big one! ) and trying to have a conversation with this chap......

To quote Peter Kay, he "were shaking like a sh1tting dog"!!

Felt sorry for him, so I let him off my verbal abuse - I think he'd had enough for one day
