Default Google crawling

So I've redeveloped a site but when I check out the files Google has cached or has crawled, it's all the old site.
Site has been active for a number of weeks now.

Anyone got any handy tips on getting Goog's to revist the site?

Not interested in getting into ad words yet.

Thanks,
Rich

google sitemap? just do a search and you'll find free tools that build the xml needed and upload it to good ol' google.

Just get yourself a link from anybody who is listed on Google and who preferably has a Google Page Rank. I get my clients listed this way all the time very quickly with a link from my site to theirs. Google visit the site they know of and follow the links on that site to other sites and hey presto - they've found yours.

Regular updates on Google will encourage their spider to come back more regulary as well.

Cheers,

Russ

IIRC If your site is popular then google does deep level scans approximately every 30 days or so. While the spiders will be on virtually every day to pick up new small content

Sitemap has been there for a while now. Actually I was surprised this didn't cause it to be spidered by now...

Home page was ranked 4 allready...

Site is not that busy/popular

It's a clients site hence the need to get it sorted.
