Anyone else think it seems a bit rushed to market, i.e. not much of anything compared to PGR2 ?

 

Not really, I think it's the same but better graphics e.t.c, I'm pleased with it anyway. I think it is the only game that doesn't appear rushed on the 360.

 

I thought it seemed rushed. It's certainly a smaller game than PGR2, with fewer cars, and fewer races (in single player). I've already got bored with it and haven't played it for a few weeks now...

 

What games haven't you got bored with and didn't think looked rushed?

 

If anyone doesn't think it was rushed can I just ask why there are NO weather effects!?!? PGR1 had them, as did PGR2.
The single player 'game' is very one dimensional, i.e. all you are doing is winning trophies and getting achievement points which you can spend on Xbox Live!.
There's no reward such as unlocking the next group of cars like you did in PGR1. After 8-10 races you can afford the best cars.
PGR2 was heading down the slippery slope to being an online only game. In many ways PGR1 has the best single player game.
Having said all that, I do enjoy PGR3, I just think it could have been SO much better.

 

To be honest, most of the current crop of 360 games seemed rushed, although PGR3 seems the worst as far as content is concerned. Out of all the games I've got for the 360, the ones I keep on playing are Kameo, Amped 3, COD2, RR6 and DOA4, (although I've only just got those last two, so it's too soon to tell if they have lasting appeal)...

I do think however, the best game by far on the console is Geometry Wars (on xbox live arcade). I've spent far too much time playing that game

 

I spent literally a whole weekend on Geometry Wars trying to get the 'Survive 60seconds without shooting' achievment.. I had to give up in the end before I threw the 360 out the window.. I still haven't done the F@*!!&*R.....

I ended up timing myself with a stopwatch to see how close I was getting, and I keep dying at around the 55-57 second mark. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.......

Still, none of my mates can beat my high score, so there's some consollation

 

I find it easier to just sit in the middle of the screen and shooting, as soon as I try and move and shoot I die a lot quicker lol

 

Lol, this is a wicked game!! This may annoy you but I managed to do the 'Survive 60seconds without shooting' acheivement on the 3 go lol!! try and stray in the middle and go round in circles, i.e don't get trapped in a corner!!

 

LOL... I've also had the wife sat there with a stopwatch calling out at 10second intervals.. Nearest I got was about 40seconds....

I think its a step back from PGR2 - being able to do a race as many times as you want for the Kudos lessens the replay value a bit - unless you're going for all platinums.

Geometry Wars - I'm having trouble surviving 60 secs when I am shooting

PDZ seems a lot more thorough - but thats hardly suprising considering the length of time they've had to make it.
