For all you PS2 football game fans, whats your opinions on Pro Evolution Soccer and EA sports FIFA?

I`ve always been a FIFA fan, i`ve had all the games from the beginning up to the current FIFA 06, but Im not impressed with the latest game at all
IMO, PES is light years ahead now.

Any views/opinions?

PES always shat all over the Fifa series from day one, much more realistic gameplay, and a lot better to play.

 

PES every time. Played a demo of FIFA 06 on the XBOX it wins on presentation but the player animation is just bad.
The gameplay is so much better on PES it is harder to score and there is more of a build to attempting a goal (more like real football).

 

admittedly I got set in my ways, never gave PES a chance till recently. The new FIFA 06 is so slow and not realistic at all

Well I find FIFA better for a quick blast ..................... for a more in-depth experience it's PES.

But, I sold my PES and bought FIFA ...... coz I have the attention spam of a knat these days!!

Fifa is just getting worse with every year, i've got an Xbox, but it's Pro Evo for me everytime, though 4 was good, but 5 it's great specially being stuck as the one man in a computer controlled team, pass me the ******* ball!!!!.


Oh and Cliff, i bet you prefer Pro Evo, you can't create a decent look alike on Fifa can you.... i mean male model twice the size of other players with Wycombe Big Boy on your shirt!!!

He was laughing uncontrolably when he tried to tell me. Pro Evo 5 has lost the arcady feel of the version 4, but it is top notch, def recommend it over Fifa 06, i've got both and Fifa was a stop gap whilst waiting for Pro Evo 5, speak to Chris he's got it on PS2, try before you buy, you might not like it.
