just dont send any e-mail's to that account ?
Send aan e-mail to everyone that might have that address advising them that you have a new e-mail address.
If possible put a forward on the Tiscali to the AOL account.

Keep your tiscali acount as an internet/spam account - I have one. It's very useful - whenever you are not sure if you will get spammed if you give out your email address use the tiscali one - check it with mailwasher having set to use the internet blacklists and keep your AOL for friends& family Any useful contacts that arise you can always give your 'proper email' address to.

Another bonus is that if you do it this way AOL will not let you send SMTP messages out so if you get a virus wanting send to all your contacts on the tiscali account it won't get very far
