removing 888 popup

Default removing 888 popup

Hi,

I am trying to remove an 888 popup thats keeps appearing on someones laptop. Have run adware, microsoft antispyware, spybot, ewido and its not going away. Any ideas?

Mark,

I had a similar one about a year ago, nothing I installed would find it. I then did a search in google about one of the screens that was appearing and found out I required an uninstaller, that may be a course of action to follow.

Cheers for the reply, cant see anything!

Going for a fresh install of everything as it will be quicker than faffing about.

p.s windows device manager is empty as well, gowd knows what he has been doing with this.

Spy Sweeper seems to be good at finding things but you have to pay to remove the items.

Spysweeper do a 14 day free trial - after the 14 days uninstall it and download it again
Have you got noads - you can manuall select it when it pops up and add to targets

how do you get the free trial? I have stuff to remove from my parents PC when I checked theres but they want me to subscribe to remove the files.

I use SpySweeper, whereas it's very good, I don't think it will remove the 888.com popup, you could try ZeroSpyware 2005, I've heard some good things about it, but unless you have something you need to remove, I couldn't really comment. You could also try the Hijack this program.
