yeah it locks it so i know i cant do that but not sure what else could be done. copy the pst on to each pc & let them work/modify their own one & send any modified emails to be viewed by the group back into the shared mailbox. Sounds abit messy though....
You could move them out onto a network drive that the list of people can access. Alternatively get an archive system such as Enterprise Vault which works a treat.
