Question Anti spy stuff

Hi guys

I want to install Adware and spybot. When I do a google search loads of sites crop up that let you download them. Not sure which one I can trust.

Can someone actually recommend specific sites?

Many thanks

Thumbs up recommended to me

best on the market is Avast (home version download) its free and updates itself every day or so. Been told by our IT department its the best in the world and beats Mcafee and Norton anti-virus by a mile

Talking

You are on a PC man, get the bloody lot

three i use for my pc at home
http://www.lavasoft.com/
Click on the Cnet download link
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
Click on continue but do not validate (still works) and download the Microsoft Beta version
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html
Click on the cnet download link, ignore any donation requests
All threee combined give you a good level of protection, but remember that are only good if you regularly update and regularly run the program.
Microsoft can be scheduled but i think the other 2 free versions are manual runs.

As a slight aside, what OS version are you running and do you have a firewall in place?
