Question www and excel

I have some url listed in excel, but the curser does NOT change as it hovers over the link.

This means I have to cut n paste to get to the web site.
A tad tedious.

How can I change the way the curser behaves.
It stays as a thick white cross.
IIRC it should be a 'hand' to work.

Excel 2000, btw.

Thx.

here's what's in a typical cell.....

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=437973

.....and appears (in excel of course) as blue and underlined.

I thought there was an Excel flag that you tick/untick that allows a direct click, ie one mouse click and InternetExplorer opens.
A bit like when you click on an e-mail address in IE and Outlook opens.

Ooooh.

I see that the black url (was black when I was writing the post) has now turned blue underlined, as soon as it is posted.

And that the cursor changes to a 'right hand with pointed index finger' as the cursor moves over the url.

That's what I want in excel.

1) On the Tools menu, click Autocorrect Options.
2) On the Autoformat As You Type tab, click to check the Internet and network paths with hyperlinks check box.

Cheers,

Thumbs up

Sorted. I thought there was a flag like that 'somewhere' in excel.

Thanks.
