sipgate.co.uk are growing rapidly, you can use any SIP enabled phone and they can provide you with any STD coded number.

Hello

I use www.sipgate.co.uk and it works for the most part and they give you a geographical number for free. Occasionally dodgy connection with echo.

I also have a http://www.sipphone.com number and that's more reliable (I use it for the American number), they will also let you buy an 0870 number.

Another sipgate user here, I use it with the softphone on my Mac, will probably get a Grandstream IP phone at some point when I can collect enough parts to build an Asterisk box.

Having looked further, although they appear cheap at first glance, there's not a lot of depth to their site...... might need some research.

Thanks for the answers so far, btw.

Hi Burr,
another vote here for sipgate.

Works fine with my Asterisk PBX and my Cisco 7960 phones. Also works fine with my X-Lite client on my pc.

Hello

It might help if you say what you are looking to do with it? For example, if you are after free calls then http://www.voipbuster.com is quite good.

I just wanted a local number in both the UK and US to receive (not make) calls.

Oooh that's nice, but expensive I'm guessing? Add me to the "curious as to where you got it from" list
