Default Firefox Problems

I use Firefox as my default browser. Booted the machine up today and it looks like I've lost all my favourites.

Any ideas why? Or where there located on the hard drive.

They were there yesterday.

Did you import your favs from Internet Explorer when you first ran Firefox? If so, run 'Import' from the 'File' menu to do it again.

Firefox stores favourites as an HTML page. It should be located at something like:

c:\Documents and Settings\*yourname*\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.qfb\bookmark s.html

There is a handy little extension that you can install to take a daily backup of your favs in Firefox. Download this

Thanks. I used Chris's advice to discover there were 2 default profiles.

1 was my old profile so I deleted the other one. Seems ok now.

Cheers.
