Problems with Microsoft Word
When I try to launch this, it tells me it's encountered a problem and needs to close. Then it tells me that files needed to launch it are corrupted, missing or deleted.
I've deleted the entire program and re-installed it, but get the exact same message.
Anyone got any other ideas, please?
TIA,
Alcazar

When you say you've 'deleted the entire program', do you mean you've uninstalled it properly or have 'manually' delete it? Is it part of office or just Word?
Do a good anti-virus clean and spybot etc. too.
Anyway, sounds like a shared dll or suchlike may be corrupted/missing. Try a search of the MS site with the error message. If it's a known problem it should be there.

As far as deleting it is concerned, I went into "add/remove programs", and did it from that. Then I reinstalled from disc 1 of the set.

There maybe cr@p left over in the registry that it didn't remove with the "Add/Remove" steps.

Just had ANOTHER go at it This time it DID ask for the product key from the CD, but I still get the same message
Been on the MS site: tried for help, but it refused my product ID, (taken from the "Works" program "Help" section, and then said it couldn't find one itself, so no go there either.
Pigging Microsoft!
