When jack posted the Menu translation I was a little worried that this was going to be the first game on PSP that I would regret buying.

I've played an hour or so now and although all of the menus are in Jap and sadly missing the English pointers of Ridge Racers, I've fumbled my way into the game without any problems. Inside the garage three options give you External mods, Engine mods and an birds eye veiw tool to look at the car. So far I've worked out where to go to mod the car but still a bit of button bashing to get to the area I want.

All the race modes feel and look Identical to the PS2 version of the game.

I'd give it an 8/10 so far ( soundtrack is top bananna )

got my psp from Jacks mate with RR and Lumines and to be honest never was that big a fan of the Ridge Racer series so thinking I should have hung off and got NFS instead. Here, I notice you're in fife - I'm in Edinburgh how much for three nights game rental?

Jack the Game store close to you must be on the ball. When I asked at my local shop the counter monkey said "PSwhat"

I'm starting to unlock stuff in NFS now only one part of it I haven't worked out yet. When you finish a race and go to the completion screen it shows what you won/unlocked , Parts and Money then a racing helmet with 400-600 under it. Thought it could be a type of Kudos points

got it a little wrong because the layer's for the side are inside the colour/GFX section.

 

My local game had a huge PSP banner thing behind the counter, that triggered my question.

Still no sign of my NFSU, fingers crossed for tomorrow.

 

Got my copy. The menu's are a royal pain in the ****. Haven't got a clue what I'm doing, but I'm winning races in my little Miata. Probably my last Jap game, well maybe one more.

Bought a Celica now, better top end.

 

one race type it's the o Button and the drag it's the top L .....

I'm sticking with my golf for now it's topped out in level 1 mods. I'll go as far as I can with it before buying the next one. I've unlocked the RX7 now so that could be it.

 

Got it, you have to keep the X held down as well as pressing the O, that's what got me.

When you buy a new car all your Mods get carried over, that suprised me.

Level two mods now open. Do you know what the helmets are? Can't work that out.
