Default Win2000 - connecting to different networks?

I am trying to set up a laptop so it can connect to two different networks, one in the office the other at home.

Each netwrok has different IP settings for the gateway and DNS Servers.

I tried making a new user, but the settings for the LAN seem to be the same for both users.

I would like to be able to either,
choose which network to log on to
or configure seperate user accounts, with one for each network

I tried the microsoft knowledge base, but its a bit beyond me, so any advise or examples would be great.

Gareth

Why not just use DHCP? No need to set up differing profiles at all.
