Some of the European domains are very specific for registering names. Some of the country registrars want company name certificates and the like.

I've used Simply for .nl and .de.

speaking for experience, i wouldnt bother with regional/euro domains unless u really have too. There much harder to get rememberd by surfers and are often more expensive to buy.

obviously it depends on what the project is, and what u need to get from it..

 

I use www.oneandone.co.uk one of the biggest in europe and pretty cheap and with no transfer fees (if you wish to move the domain) ALWAYS check this.
