I want to be able to watch movies from my PC on my TV.

So what solutions do i have?

I was considfering a TV out video card but as i dont have an amp i cant get audio out.

Any other solutions?

I primarily want to watch DIVX, Xvid and RMVB files.

Thanks

Hi

With TV out you shouldnt need an amp. If your TV has the 3 RCA connectiors or SCART either on the side or rear you should get sound through it too.

I use a cable which is S-VIDEO at the TV-OUT end (laptop) which then splits out to 3 RCA leads (red, yellow and white) which allows for video and sound on the TV.

Hope that helps.

Oh right, thanks. How long is the cable? I'll need one that is pretty long.

Radeon 9600 with TV-out would be a good choice (£57.20 from CCL Computers, but you might find one cheaper 2nd hand)

Best bet would be a UMAX 6600 standalone DVD player, plays DIVX, XVID JPEG MPEG all types and is firmware updradeable using a CD.

Plays everything my computer plays and is only about £42+vat
