You can change the ntp clock used by XP away from a Microsoft one.
Right-click, the clock in the sys tray and select Adjust date/time. You should have a tab marked Internet. You can specifiy your own ntp server in there (your local ISP for example).
I have my home one set to ntp.blueyonder.co.uk

Yes but the Windows XP clock updater thingy only seems to check the NTP server once a week or so.
There's a great utility called About Time that will update from an NTP server at any time interval you specify. Pre-XP, I used to update the time every hour.
I always use time.nist.gov as the NTP server too. Can't trust MS to get the time right (and I guess NIST is a tier 1 NTP server).
