I've got a Lexmark X series printer and have got this annoying program called lexpps or lexpps.exe which I want to stop from running providing it won't interfere with anything else.

I've read that I can alter the file name to LEX.PPS.OLD and that should stop it from starting up, does that sound right and if so, how do I do it without buggering my machine up?
