Default Xbox live with wirelesss router?

Ive recently got on line with my laptop, via a netgear wireless router and card.
Is it possible to get another card so my xbox doesnt have to be hard wired with a cable?

Hello *****,

I use a Netgear ME101 wireless ethernet bridge which is only 11mbps. You will need the new equivalent, if yours is 54mbps+

All the best,
Dunk

Yep, you just need a wireless access point that connects to your XBox via ethernet, and to the router via wireless. There's loads on www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk, even XBox specific/branded ones

Hello mate, just done this myself. Bought a whole 54Mbps network kit, and a number of firmware updates later - it seems ok. xbox drops out occasionally, which is very annoying on TOCA 2 as you lose points for leaving rated races - but otherwise no probs.

Is the rest of your gear 54mbps ?

No you don't need 54mb, however the g rated stuff tends to have a stronger signal so potentially less issues with drop outs.
