Question HP Laserjet 4000 replacement suggestions

Our LJ4000 is now on its last legs, and needs to be replaced. I'd appreciate suggestions as to what to look at this time.

It will function as the main workhorse printer on a small NT network (8 PCs). Used solely for printing b+w letters, reports and emails etc. Useage varies but rarely exceeds, say, 100-150 sheets (A4)/day.

Many thanks.

A LaserJet 4250 is the current model in that size but 150 sheets a day isn't a big load, so something cheaper like a LJ2300 or LJ2400 (replacement for the 2300) would cope with that. The entry level 2400 models are rated at 75,000 pages per month.

LJ2300's are forever breaking down (Got about 15 here)
The Predecessors (2100, 2200) are all still going strong. (About 100 of them)

Hopefully the 2400 will regain their reliability!

Plenty of other good options from Brother and Samsung too but all quite sinmilar on price as they make very little at this end of the market.
