Right, I need to keep a rolling update of clients products, which need to be sortable by 'release date', 'type of product' etc. and preferably searchable keywords.
Whilst I'm pretty au fait with the microsoft suite, I've never touched a database, and ideally never plan to.
Presumably what I'm after is pretty straightforward???
If so, how? What software? Anyone have a database of this kind kicking about a harddrive I could *******ise??
cheers

MS Access should do the trick although your requirements are a bit on the "loose" side i.e. you hint at functionality.
What you really need to sit down with someone who knows databases and map out your data and develop a data schema that can easily be implemented. then all you need to do is enter the data.
