cat6 specifications and standards
Can anyone point me to where I can find uk/EU /ISO /IEEE specs of cat6 cabling?
Basically I need to put a cabling job to tender and need to set the specifications.
Unfortunately I only know the US specs at the moment and need UK equivalents
TIA

Category 6 Specification ANSI TIA/EIA568B.2-1 and the Class E requirements of the now approved ISO/IEC11801 Second Edition.
In order for components to be recognised as Category 6 compliant, they must be tested and pass with a range of high-end, middle and low-end de-embedded test plugs.
The use of this range of plugs to determine the component specification ensures that backwards compatibility and interoperability requirements will be met.
To achieve a mated jack and plug NEXT (near-end crosstalk) of 54dB at 100MHz in the 3,6 - 4,5 pair combination, the Category 6 standard requires that the plug exhibit a de-embedded NEXT range of 36.4 to 37.6dB.
The 100MHz frequency is an important benchmark for backwards compatibility with Category 5e.
To ensure backwards compatibility with Category 5e components, this mated jack/plug connection must test at 43dB at 100MHz with a de-embedded NEXT range of 34.4 to 37.6dB.
The Category 6 jack must perform in two overlapping de-embedded plug NEXT ranges - the 36.4 to 37.6dB range for Category 6 and the broader 34.4 to 37.6dB range for Category 5e.
