Default A bit of a problem it would seem...

Switched on my pc today which isnt my main computer, it sits in the corner of the room and acts mainly as an mp3 jukebox and i use it via vnc and via tv-out link to my 32" tv just for some video editing from my mini-dv camcorder, burning dvds etc and seem to have a bit of an issue.

The pc gets to the BIOS screen and the first thing seems to be it is incorrectly reporting the speed of the cpu - the processor is an athlon 2200 XP but it is reporting the speed as 1350mhz. Next, it gets through the memory test and lists the primary and slave drives etc as normal but just freezes there with the list of disks on screen after the post test and will not proceed any further.

I would guess this is the motherboard on its way out but would welcome any suggestions!

Cheers

David

Hope this helps
