before I signed up for this I wanted to know if it imports your Live friends list into MSN messenger ?
so I can see who is on live and my other contacts all at the same time. I know it will pop up to say that a friend has come on live but will it have the full online/offline list in messenger.
Craig ?

Go to http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/live/features/alerts.htm to link your Gamertag to your MSN Passport. (you can then use this site to see who is online in your friends list without switching on your xbox)
Instructions to get Real Time feed like XboxFriends on MSN messenger.
On the main MSN Messenger window go to: Tools > Privacy > Untick "This is a shared computer so don't display my tabs".
Then:
1. Go to www.passport.net
2. Sign-In with your passport account if you need to.
3. Go to the "View or edit your profile" link on the right.
4. Change your Country/Region to "United States"
5. Change state to "Texas"
6. Add Zip Code as "77002".
7. Tick "Share my other registration information" at the bottom of the page.
7. Press the "Update" button.
8. If you have Messenger already open then completely shut it down and re-login.
Note: It MUST be MSN Messenger 6.2 or 6.1. It will NOT work on Windows Messenger.

I've done both now but won't get to have a look until tomorrow night.
I really wanted this to be my friends list on MSN so you could see who was online/offline all the time. Not just when they log on

On enote, for it to take effect after you're changed your passport settings you'll need to shut down messenger and restart it and re-log in for the new tab(s) to show.
It also moves all those logged in to the top of the list so you don't have to scroll down to see if someone is logged in.
Not sure if it shows people that are on live but set to not appear online in a game
