Default Outlook 2002 Importing from OE

I installed Outlook 2002 some while ago. Never used it, but dismissed the import wizard that runs on first use.

I now want to start using it and need to import mail accounts etc from OE. I know I can use the File > Import option to do it manually, but is there a way of resetting Outlook so that it does everything in one fell swoop?

I don't think you can do it all in one go.I did this a while ago for a friend of mine.I think I imported a single folder at a time ie Inbox, etc etc.
Whereas the full blown version of Outlook stores everything in a personal folder (*.pst) OE uses dbx files for each individual folder. You also wanna import the windows address book too (*.wab)
I found this page rather useful when I did this a while ago....

Good luck

Ah, Thanks for that. The all in one method works in Outlook 2000 (just tried it) so strange it don't work in 2002, but hey, that's progress

Two other things I just noticed

- some of the imported messages from OE have todays date as the received date although the messages are old ones (some over a year!)

- when I imported rules, only two of the rules set in OE were pulled across.

Any ideas?

What's wrong with using the Import Wizard?

Import Wizard does accounts one at a time and steps through each one. (O2000 imports all account settings except passwords) Have quite a few accounts so was hoping to speed the process coz I'm a lazy sod I'm also v impatient so bit the bullet and used the wizard after all.

Still can't work out why only 2 of 12 rules were imported.
