Angry bu66er, what else can I do...?

bleeding browser hijackers,
Ive had two in the last two weeks.
both premium rate numbers as well.
so far I've installed:
Ad-Aware
Spybot S&D
WinPatrol

anything else I can do?
I *think* that theyve been removed but not 100% sure,
Im no techie and Im looking for some more help.

Andy,

In IE under tools|internet options|security|custom level make sure that under activex controls and plug-ins all the options are set to disable, normally diallers get installed when you're surfing and you get a window that pops-up asking you to install something Yes|No and they work on the basis of confusing people to install it. Always take the pessimistic view if you are asked to install *anything* always hit No or cancel.

You might want to consider an alternative browser, I use mozilla firefox, as well featured as IE but not as vulnerable to activex controls as IE.

As Jack said, Antitivus and Firewall and regular Windows updates.

Prevent the cause not just fix it.

...and when you get those pop-ups asking you to install something, read them carefully. I've seen some recently where the question is asked as a double negative, (so you click No to accept).
