Setting up an IT business.
Hi peeps,
I know a lot of people have had similar threads recently, but im gonna go for it, just need a little advice first
First off, the market segment im aiming at is small businesses, home business etc rather than normal homeowners etc. (too little money for too much hassle otherwise)
Some things I have thought of though:
1. Im going to do it whilst also working my IT day job, at least until it takes off. Would this put people off, if so any way round it ?
2. Stock. I mean, you just dont know whats gonna be going wrong so I guess a few pcs, motherboards/drives/video card etc would be a good start.
3. Where can I get some good deals on such stuff. I mean everyone knows about ebuyer now (not that I would buy from ebuyer as the stuff is rather shoddy) but ill be using kit like Asus rather than pc chips so I need a keen price on stuff.
4. Those of you that do it, do you charge call outs ? Im undecided on this one, and how to price it all to be honest. I mean I'm doing this for monetry reward at the end of the day.
Any advice appreciated
Problem is that no one is interested in giving decent prices/credit until you have been in business a year (well at least in CTO terms)

From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?
Id try and get some business first and see how it goes and what people require..
I personally wouldnt leave my well paid IT job to do motherboard swaps.
