Seeing as I now have my nice refurbed Audigy 2 card, I was wondering if there any surround 5.1 speakers out there that can plug in between my PC and Xbox either at the same time or by moving a cable.

Ultimate aim is to have my PC and XBox in the same room, so sharing speakers would be preferable.

Xbox advance cable has an optical out and as for as I know that's the only way to get 5.1 from the Xbox .......

 

So I need speakers with optical in as well as PC connections then.....

 

If you have the Audigy2 card with the hardware add on Front Drive system http://www.creative.com/products/product.asp?prodid=572 <see link then that will have the optical in port on it. Other wise you will need a card with this feature on it or a seperate amplifier with optical in with 5.1 decoder built in hope that helps.
